The land should be made into green areas, with parks, trees, thracks and picnic areas.
They should be available for everyone to use, walkers, dog walkers, bikes etc.

I would like to see the land on the Charles Street side developed into a reserve, filled with native plantings and walkways and cycle tracks for everyone to enjoy. Near the riverbank areas for picnics. The area needs to be a peaceful place for everyone to enjoy as so many redzoner's lost their dreams and peace of mind and some their entire futures in the Sept quakes. It would be disrespectful to ever have this area rebuilt on.
Absolutely agree!!! Bring people back to the River Town! But please no fishing - there's enough places to go and do that.

More things family orientated - mini/crazy golf would be good. Adventure park - castles, forts for climbing, paddling pools
kids were playing in the red zone the other day and it was wonderful to see kids back!!!Like the piped pipper with them gone. More kid spaces. Trees. Try not to over think it. Let imagination exist

I would like to see existing trees in the red zone retained and reserves with tracks made particularly along Courtney Drive area and also the riverside area of North Kaiapoi.

How about a dog park in the red zone - similar to that in Coronation Rd Rangiora. Maybe a large playground/bike tracks - focus on the recreational aspects.
Of course if we ever get trains out here we could use some of the area for a park & ride parking area.

People going back to their own homes the way they were befire the earthquakes and new parts, possibly pool with hydroslide.
Sounds good. Vandals have always been an issue. Maybe a youth centre somewhere
