During the public consultation in October 2015, and February - March 2016, the following events were held to provide information about the future use of the five regeneration areas in Kaiapoi, Pines Beach and Kairaki.

October 2015

During October 2015 we held a number of events for the community and business people to find out about the development of the draft Recovery Plan for Waimakariri's residential red zone land. The events included drop in sessions at the Ruataniwha Kaiapoi Civic Centre, the Ohoka Farmers Market, Rangiora A & P Show, and two community meetings were held at the Kaiapoi Golf Club.
